The Dentists:

 

Dr. Brandon W. Taylor DMD

Dr. Brandon Taylor has served as The Community Dental Clinic’s Clinical Director and full-time Dentist in 2011.  He is originally from Ohio County and now resides with his family in Daviess County.  Dr. Taylor received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from Kentucky Wesleyan College. Upon graduation he was awarded the Navy’s Health Profession Scholarship. Dr. Taylor then received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville, School of Dentistry. He later completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with rotations in prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and implant dentistry.

Dr. Taylor’s professional memberships include the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, Kentucky Oral Health Coalition, Green River Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.  Locally, Dr. Taylor has served as a PTO President, and Site Based Council Member.

Oral health education and outreach in our local schools is also a passion of Dr. Taylor’s.  Each year the staff of the Community Dental Clinic enjoys providing dental screenings and education for area children.  Dr. Taylor is grateful for the opportunity to improve the health of our entire community.

 

 

Dr. Jeff Gilbert DMD

Dr. Jeff Gilbert began working for the Community Dental Clinic in July of 2014. Dr. Gilbert is originally from Indianapolis, IN, but has been living in Kentucky since 2010. He attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN for undergraduate studies where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Next, he attended Purdue University in Indianapolis and received a Masters of Science in Biology. It was at this time, Dr. Gilbert decided to leave his hometown and move to Kentucky to attend the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. During the summer before his 4th year of dental school, Dr. Gilbert was able to work at the Community Dental Clinic as a student intern. Upon graduation from ULSD, he accepted a position with the clinic as a full time dentist.  

 
Dr. Gilbert has always exhibited a passion for learning and education which doesn't stop with the end of formal schooling. He plans to attend continuing education courses to advance his skills in endodontics, prosthodontics, implants, and pediatric dentistry. During dental school he was an active member of the American Student Dental Association. Currently he is a member of the American Dental Association and the Kentucky Dental Association. Dr. Gilbert looks forward to becoming a member of the Green River Dental Society and an active member of his new community.
